Africa World's Second Largest Continent

 
Africa MapAfrica also called "Dark Continent", is the second largest continent of the world by area and its area is  11,677,240 sq mi (30,244,050 sq km). Africa is connected with Asia by the Sinai Peninsula (from which it is separated by the Suez Canal) and is bounded on the N by the Mediterranean Sea, on the W and S by the Atlantic Ocean, and on the E and S by the Indian Ocean. The largest island of this continent is Madagascar other are Mauritius, Comoros and Seychelles. Geologist say that it is the oldest place of living in the history of the world. There are 53 countries in Africa. The largest desert in the world is situated in Africa and its name is Sahara. It is also home to a variety of jungle creatures (including snakes and primates) and aquatic life (including crocodiles and amphibians).
