The capital of Russia is Moscow, a major political, economic, cultural, and scientific center of the country, as well as Europe. The city that is the northernmost megacity on Earth was declared by Forbes 2011 as having the largest community of billionaires in the world. It is also the most populous city in Europe, with a population of 11, 733, 501 people; additionally, it is the 5th largest city proper in the world. Situated on the Moskva River in the European Russia, it is the site of the Moscow Kremlin. Christianity is the predominant religion in Moscow, also being the capital of Orthodox Christianity.

The climate here is humid continental, with warm summers and cold, long winters. Moscow has world renowned architecture, and is known as the site of Saint Basil’s Cathedral, as well as the Cathedral of the Christ the Savior, and the Seven Sisters; its transit network is also known as one of the city’s landmark, due to the extensive, rich and varied architecture of its 185 stations. Serving as the time zone used in most of Russia, it has a vibrant night life, full of different bars, clubs, and restaurants; with new openings each week changing the night life atmosphere.
