Alcoholometer is an instrument used to measure the content or proportion of alcohol in solutions by volume, in ethanol/water mixtures. There should be no other mixture in a sample else the result will be incorrect. The most common types of alcoholmeter are weight %, volume % and Cartier. It is also called as the specialized type of hydrometer.
